WHO WE ARE

The Georgian Association of Energy Engineers (GAEE)

The Georgian Association of Energy Engineers (GAEE) was established in May 1998 by 5 founding members from the Georgian Technical University and Sakenergo Generation – power generation utility of Georgia. On July 18 1998 the GAEE was registered officially by the Vake District Court as non-governmental, non-commercial legal entity, organizational and juridical form of which is an Association.

Main goals and tasks of the GAEE according to its Charter are the following:

  • Putting together the efforts of energy engineers and specialists of Georgia for solving the scientific, technical and practical problems of energy supply and energy management
  • Developing an efficient ways for energy production, distribution and consumption
  • Rendering scientific, designing and technical assistance to the governmental, industrial and all other organizations for implementation and application of highly efficient modern energy technologies and equipment
  • Creating databases on energy technologies, equipment and energy supply for use by the GAEE members, governmental and other organizations
  • Organization of seminars, conferences, discussions, exchange of experience and spreading information on advanced local and western technologies, equipment and services in the energy sector
  • Publishing newsletters and journals for free distribution
  • Establishing scientific and technical collaboration with AEE organizations in other countries
  • Humanitarian, social and legal assistance to energy specialists and students

In November 1998 GAEE became the Chartered Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers. AEE is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Currently the GAEE has 65 individual members and 2 corporate members.

The Board of Council that is elected according to the Charter of the GAEE manages the Georgian Association of Energy Engineers.
